PADL.ORG APPROVED TRAINER APPLICATION
The price is $150.00 per state per year.
Thank you for your interest in being listed in the PADL AED trainer registry. By participating in this registry, you receive the following benefits:
Display of trainer and/or company name and contact information allowing interested students to request training
Downloadable PADL Approved Trainer shield which may be placed on trainer’s marketing materials and/or web page
Physician, RN, Paramedic or EMT with emergency experience.
PADL applauds every effort made to teach CPR and AED use to lay persons, regardless of instructor medical credentials. Many fine instructors have no emergency experience, but possess a passion to teach and improve health and safety in their communities.
However in general, we have found that the most accurate, informative and engaging instructors are those who have actual experience performing the skills taught. In order to set our registry apart, PADL trainers will have this type of experience.
AHA, ARC, NSC, EMP America, ETX, or equivalent.
Most state laws require training to AHA, ARC or other national standards. Trainers using nationally recognized curriculum meet this requirement.
Physician oversight of training.
PADL has recommended physician oversight with AED training from the beginning. The reason for this is not to make obtaining or administering AED training more difficult, but rather to protect the emerging PAD movement and allow it to continue as a force for good in communities all around the world.
If your training company does not currently have a relationship with a physician who can provide medical direction for your training, PADL may be able to help.
Following the lead of national training agencies, PADL requires that trainers maintain current insurance to cover their training activities.
Trainers and entities without proper insurance should contact for assistance.
